Look at me...

2 posts in one day!
These photos are of my dear son, now age 9. They were not very good quality and the new QK photo/shapshot cookie cutter die is perfect for those kinds of photos. One tip for using this die - mount your photo first, then use a liquid adhesive for the frame so you can move it around a bit to get a perfect fit around your photo. The fonts are all QK: Rainbow, Diesel Grand and Marigold (for the & sign). The water flourish was cut on my Silhouette.

Notice the faux stitching around the edge of this LO? I've seen this a lot in magazines and on-0nline over the past several months - where people just take a pen and draw a freehand line as a border. I could never get my freehand lines to look quite right to me (too 'Type A' I guess). So for all of you Type A-ers out there, here is a trick to get a more even line - use a deckle edge ruler (made for paper tearing) and run your pen along that. Worked perfectly with my white gel pen here. I like the open space on this LO too - sometimes I get to overwhelmed with patterned paper and like to take a break.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog today!

Yikes!

Has it really been over a month since I last blogged??? Wow - time sure is moving fast this spring. Between work and the kids school and sports activities, it is hard to stop and catch my breath. But here are a few things I have created lately.

First up is a cute and easy card using the Sizzix Dress Ups Doll dies - I love the new medical professional outfits. I can just see this guy on well-baby checkup pages too. The die cut is so detailed, not much else is needed for the card. The Get Well sentiment is from the QK Cookie Cutter phrases, and the inside of the card says "Soon!"

Gotta love Quickutz Release day. I did these quick cards for the April release. I had to get almost the entire release this month!

Thanks for looking!!
