Stuffed Cards

Happy Saturday - just a quick post today to share a couple of projects I made using the Quickutz Santa's Workshop Mini Book Gift Set, along with some Sizzix dies.  First up is a Get Well Soon card, using the Peppermint mini book set and Sizzix Doll die with the Medical Professional Outift:

A chicken soup pouch fit perfectly inside, leaving the inside cover available for the sentiment.  You could adapt this idea in many ways.  How about a Doll dressed in the Winter Clothes with a hot chocolate packet inside?

Here is another version of a 'stuffed card' this time using Wintergreen and my favorite, chocolate:

and the inside...

Can you tell I've been on a diet lately?!  Thanks for checking in today!

Hi everyone!  Here is a quick layout I just completed using Cricut Cartridges Storybook (butterfly border) and Pink Journey (Love).  The journaling label is a Quickutz die - I think I am going to trade it out for a longer rectangle to balance out the LO.  The paper is Creative Memories from the old Blush Blooms pack and Cactus cardstock.  I also used the CM Rotary trimmer for the scalloped edging.  I wanted to use pretty colors for these photos from a visit with my Grandmother over the summer.  I have the dark hair and my Mom is on the left and my little sister is on the right.  My boys and my sisters girls are in the lower photos.  Sorry the picture is a bit blurry - too much coffee today I suppose!  TFL! WOW - thank you so much everyone for your kind comments!  It's fun to give out blog candy - can't believe I haven't done it sooner.  And really does work and is easy to use - who knew?  I figured I'd have to sign up or something, but no, just enter your parameters and click, and VOILA... Wife2TJ is the winner!!  It looks like I can contact her via her blog, so I'll do that shortly and send out her blog candy pack of assorted Sizzix/Quicktuz dies.  Congrats!!  A big thanks to all for joining in on the fun - I've enjoyed looking at your blogs too!!  Happy Scrapping!

Getting Organized, Checking In and BLOG CANDY!!

Mission: Get ever-expanding die collection under control!
Ok, so here is a start. My Quickutz Revolution dies were everywhere! I decided to go back to the old Library Storage Binders. I categorized my dies and put each group in a separate binder, labeling the spine. I have saved most of my package cards to refer to when assembling a die, so I punched the corner of those and put them on jump rings using the same categories as the binders. So now if I want to cut back to school shapes, I grab my “Fall” binder and "Fall" jump-ring and I’m good to go!  BONUS - the library binders fit perfectly into my JetMax Storage Cube drawers!  Here is a pic (click to enlarge):

I love my JetMax Cubes!  They are great for storing Large Original and Bigz Sizzix Dies too!  Here is a pic of those.

My Sizzix dies are largely organized at this point.  I have 6 of the old Towers full of my old Sizzix dies (Vintage Sizzix as I like to call them), 3 Large Pink Boxes and 6 Small Pink Boxes full of dies.  My Sizzlets are in Sizzlet storage cases.  Someday soon my scrap area will be clean enough to take and post a pic!

In my quest to get organized, I noticed I have a few duplicate dies and some that I just never use, so I decided to give out my first 'blog candy' - a surprise package of assorted dies!  All you need to do is sign up to be a follower on this blog and leave me a comment on this post.  I will draw a winner on Friday November 20th, so be sure to leave an email addy or some way to get in contact with you!
