A Few Random Projects to Share...

Hello everyone!!  It is a soggy Monday in St. Louis so I thought I would post a few projects I've been working on.  First up is one of my favorites but I couldn't get a good photo or scan.  I used several of the new Quickutz paper doll release to recreate my son at the Pirates Game - Baseball player (hat); Cheerleader (foam finger); Pirate Costumes (skull/crossbones); Outifts and doll body.  I love how he turned out.  The clouds border and rainbow cloud dies were used for the sky, along with a matted title and sun cut on my Silhouette.  I also cut the tiny 'P' for the hat on my Silhouette.  The patterned paper is Bungle Jungle from Sassafras Lass.  [click to enlarge]
Speaking of dolls, I tried to think out of the box with the fireman costume and turned him into an astronaut!  Just replace the helmet with a vellum circle, and watch him transform!  The background is the starry night border die, pieced together.  [click to enlarge]
Here is the fireman costume back in the box serving its intended function.  The font here is Sizzix Block Bunch Decorative Strip and the paper is Scenic Route.  The Sizzix rub-on faces fit perfectly on the doll too.  I had to add the retired fire hydrant die - it is one of my favorites.  Can you tell I love doll dies!?!?!?

Next, I used the new QK doll release to make Bob the Builder and Wendy dolls!  I used the Construction Worker Uniform, the Clothes die, and the Cheerleader Uniform (for Wendy's hair). To make Bob's shire, I took some old red gingham Creative Memories paper, and colored it all over with my orange Copic marker.
Aren't the cute? [click to enlarge]

Ok, on to a couple of other layouts and look - no dolls!!  I broke out some of my vintage Sizzix dies for this last layout - the sun and grass.  I added some newer dies too - Groovy Girl Decorative Strip font; Curly border; and of course, Hello Kitty herself. Not much use for her in this house of boys, but I'm trying to include more pictures of myself into the family scrapbooks b/c I am usually the one behind the camera so I don't make many appearances in our books!
Paper here is Pink Paislee.  [click to enlarge]  TFL!
Ok, one last LO to share (another doll free one).  Here I used the new Sizzix Snowflake Decorative Strip border die and cut my title in Heartbreaker TTF on my Silhouette.  Paper is Heidi Grace.  [Click to Enlarge].
Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Cutting Everyone!!
